Semi Intensive Courses

Thinking about a “faster” way to learn how to drive, but a fully intensive course feels like too much?

Consider a semi-intensive option. It follows the same structure as our 5-, 7- and 10-day courses, but spread over a longer period so you can learn at a steadier pace.

Example schedules:

  • 5-week course: 20 hrs typically spread over around 5 weeks (usually two x 2-hour lessons per week)

  • 7-week course: 30 hrs typically spread over around 7 weeks (usually two x 2-hour lessons per week)

  • 10-week course: 40 hrs typically spread over around 10 weeks (usually two x 2-hour lessons per week)

Pricing includes 1 theory test, but does not include the practical test fee (£62). All other rules from our FAQ still apply.

These courses are delivered by instructors we work with. They usually run intensive courses and offer semi-intensive lessons alongside their intensive programmes (before or after them), depending on availability.

How quickly you complete the course depends mainly on your & instructors availability. The timeframes above are typical examples and are provided as a guide.

10-Day Course

(For beginners or those starting fresh)

Who would benefit most from this course?

This course is intended for individuals with little to no driving experience and includes a total of 40 hours.

The 10-day course is most suitable for clients who meet one of the following:

  • have no prior driving experience but are confident in their ability to learn quickly (note that 4 hours per day can be very exhausting, even with a break halfway through);
  • have taken driving lessons, but still feel the need to start “from scratch”;

Please note, learning to drive is a very individual process and you might need additional lessons after your course, if you are not safe & test ready.

Intensive driving courses are a great way to learn quickly, but they may not suit everyone. If you prefer a slower pace or find long sessions (around 4 hours a day) tiring, you might benefit more from regular lessons.

These courses require focus and energy, as the fast progress and upcoming test can feel demanding. However, with motivation and good concentration, many learners find them an excellent way to achieve success in a short time.

7-Day Course

(For those who know the basics)

Who would benefit most from this course?

With a total duration of 30 hours, this course is suitable for clients who meet one of the following:

  • have completed at least 10 hours of driving lessons with an approved instructor recently (e.g., within the last 6 months);
  • have undertaken at least 10 hours of private practice recently (e.g., within the last 6 months) and mastered the basics;
  • have taken a driving test within the past 4-10 years, but failed

Participants in this course should have a grasp of basic skills, including clutch control, moving off and stopping, dealing with easy junctions, progressive braking, gears, and easy hill starts.

Please note, learning to drive is a very individual process and you might need additional lessons after your course, if you are not safe & test ready.
